Death
Psalm 23:4 says: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
Yet so many people worry about such small things.
We should live our lives fully and having fun, not filled with worry, because it's all in His hands.
When I was little, after I learned about death, I was terrified of it. But after I learned that I was going to go to a beautiful Kingdom, I never worried about it again. Death isn't meant to be a scary thing, because God will take you when he needs you. He does everything for a reason.
After that, I went through this phase where my only worry was suffering. I had before: deaths, injuries, medical problems, etc. But I watch Joel Osteen every Sunday and I remember one where he discussed how many people worry about everything and how it's in God's hands and I realized that I can sit there and worry and waste my life away, but that's not what God wants and it's not going to change His plans for me.
So maybe this quote isn't proper English, its the truth. All you need is faith and you can do almost anything. Sure, I can pray and pray (and I do!) but God has His plans for me no matter what. So don't waste your life away by worrying about things that aren't in your control.

The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. - Mark Twain
Hi everyone! I'm Juliet and I blog at www.apurplesky.blogspot.com, a (hopefully) inspirational blog on living life to the fullest, and more! I'm 17 years old and a senior in high school. I am currently looking for a job to help pay for college, but there hasn't been luck so far. I love reading, writing, playing golf, Scotty McCreery, chocolate, and romance. Other celebrity crushes include: Channing Tatum, Taylor Lautner, and Avan Jogia. My favorite movie is Dear John and my I couldn't possibly pick a favorite book! I hope you enjoy my post! :)
agree. :) death is one of this world's many natural phenomena...it'll happen soon whether we like it or not. but that shouldnt worry us, that should make us appreciate our life more... :)
ReplyDeleteThis is the best way to deal about life and how to deal when confronted with fear of death.
ReplyDeleteSuper cool post for me. :)
I can super relate to this. Death is just around the corner, it happens in a very unexpected time whether we are prepared or not. I suddenly remember my friend who died in a very fatal accident and it absolutely shocks us.
ReplyDeleteYou talk so maturely for your age. Are you a Christian? Mukhang mas may sense ka pa sa akin. LOL
ReplyDeleteActually despite my faith in God and an afterlife of some sort, I'm still afraid to die, I'm still in no rush to do it. I'm kind of okay with this, I disprove the theory that people use religion to remove their fear of death.

it takes the fear of death to the extremes and some people really go to HORRIFYING lengths just to ease their anxieties of traversing the nether realm..
MAKALISANG NGA SALIDA and it makes you wonder.
ANO BA TALAGA ANG MERON SA KABILAnG BUHAY?hihihi

Well, the thought of it scares lot of people. We just have to live life to the fullest for we don't know when life will be taken away from us.
ReplyDeleteI used to be afraid of death when I was younger, but now that I matured, it dawn to me, like Juliet said, it's beyond my control and only God knows when and how. So why worry about it. I consider everyday as a blessing and live it to the fullest. I love this quote from Harry Potter first book, about death
ReplyDelete“To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure” – (Albus Dumbledore) JK Rowling
Great Post. :)
in my opinion, people should not be afraid of death. lahat kasi tayo darating dyan. we just have to be prepared
ReplyDeleteI don't think that people truly fear death. We smoke, we drink, we don't sleep, we eat the foulest and morbid kind of foods - aren't they enough proof that we're all dying to die?
ReplyDelete.
.
But seriously, I think it is the unknown that we fear. What lies ahead beyond this life? Such uncertainty is enough to make anyone anxious, or in your own word: fear.

.
I think what we should fear more about is dying without really living.
