TIME 100, 2012.

April 18, 2012. Time released its official "The 100 Most Influential People n the World" list. It's no wonder that Jeremy Lin, Barack Obama and Adelle made the list. Even quarterback Tim Tebow (I know, right!) and the controversial Anonymous made it.

They are the people who inspire us, entertain us, challenge us and change our world. Meet the breakouts, pioneers, moguls, leaders and icons who make up this year's TIME 100. - Time Magazine

Jeremy Lin's story is a great lesson for kids everywhere because it debunks and defangs so many of the prejudices and stereotypes that unfairly hold children back. He's dispelled the idea that Asian-American guards somehow couldn't hack it in the NBA — and that being a world-class athlete on the court is somehow at odds with being an excellent student off the court. - Time

Turn on any radio station in the world and you will probably hear Adele. Go to Mars right now and I'm pretty sure if there is life on that planet, they're playing Adele. And for good reason. - Time

United, if at all, by a taste for shock humor and disdain for authority, this leaderless Internet hive brain is plundering and playing in the electronic networks of an ever shifting enemies list: Arab dictatorships, the Vatican, banking and entertainment firms, the FBI and CIA, the security firm Stratfor and even San Francisco's BART transport system. Did Anonymous fix the TIME 100 poll? - Time

  1. I don't think you can put Anonymous on the list. There's no one single person. They wouldn't have fixed the list though, they've already done it before with Moot and if they fixed it, they would find a puppet, not do it themselves. However I find my lack of a position on there disheartening. I didn't know the story of Lin (though it turns out he is pretty awesome, way to go him) and Adele doesn't influence me :P

    1. I did think about that. Anonymous is no single person. I'm not sure why TIME included him/them on the list. My brows raised a centimeter higher than usual, upon finding Rihanna and Tebow made the list. But well.. hehe.. they made it.

Wow, Mark! Adele's music is good, I suppose.. but she doesn't influence me, as well. *high fives* XD

  5. It's good to see Anonymous on there, even though it isn't a person. Goes to show how much people can accomplish!
