My post title sounds silly. Haha.
It's the BER months again. You do know what that means, right? It means CHRISTMAS is only 3 months away! Yippee! Here in the Philippines, Christmastime begins in September. I love Chrsitmas. It's the only time of the year when I'd get to lick a candycane and get away with it. Harhar. It's okay to be a kid during Christmas. I'd lick it until it turns sharp and then start poking people. Hihi. Silly but fun.
So what are my plans?
Wake me up when September ends, because on the last day of the month, my sister-in-law would be celebrating her birthday! Another good year of blessings and bliss for my wonderful sister-in-law. She's a great mom to her two adorable kids and a loving wife to my brother, her husband. Aw, I love you, nang Lucile! Oh, a birthday party. That means, food! Lots of 'em! Haha. I totally love food. Who doesn't? I hope there's pasta and leche flan. Oh and cake! I hope there's cake. Oh yum. Just thinking about eating such delicious desserts make my mouth water. I wonder of there'd be ice cream.
Arg. Enough about food.
Come October, I have plans of going to the city of SMILES, Bacolod City and join the Masskara Festival! It is an annual festival held in Bacolod City every 3rd week of October. Its symbol is a very colorful smiling mask, which shows that the people of Negros (and the Filipinos, of course) are very happy people, even during troubled times. So.. there! When fate permits, it would be my very first time to witness the Maskarra Festival first hand. You see, Bacolod City is only a boat ride away from where I'm from. It was as easy as pie to just pack my bags and go to Bacolod to celebrate Masskara. But I haven't done that in years. And finally, I'd be able to do that this year. Yay me! I'd better buy an extra battery for my camera. It would be an experience to remember.
Then, November.
November is my Dad's month. November 28 is his birthday and as always, a birthday party will be in order. As I've mentioned above, I love birthday parties. As a celebration of another year for my dad, there will be lots of food and singing.. and food and dancing.. and FOOD. Haha. Also, on the 4th of month, I will meet some of my most favorite bloggers. Horray! An Iloilo Bloggers Get-together. Perfect! And then, on the 24th... Baguio, here I come! Wooot!
December!
It's Christmas! I love Christmas. When I was a little girl, I used to get some little Christmas presents from my godmothers and godfathers. May it be a dress, a pair of shoes or wads of money. But now, I'm the one giving gifts. I have lots of godchildren. Haha. Oh well, Christmas is the season of giving. My whole family, with cousins and uncles and aunts and friends.. we would get together on the 24th and then we'd exchange gifts. Monita, monita - a Filipino tradition of gift-giving. Most of them would receive packets of toothpaste, some would have bottles of shampoo. Silly little gifts. Haha. We don't really give super expensive gifts. Just simple ones.. Silly, even. But it's the thought that counts, anyway. Hihi. I'm so excited for December!
