Boring Saturday.

I woke up this morning, perky and full of energy. Woot woot!! I got up, sneaked a peek at my phone's clock and went outside the room to have breakfast. After that, I checked my Twitter, Facebook and email. The cleaning bug bit me so I cleaned my room. Only my room. Haha!

Then afternoon came.

I spent a good few minutes staring at the computer screen, not knowing what to do. Watched some videos on YouTube. Liked and shared some articles on Facebook. Tweeted a few more. Got into a lively Twitter conversation with some Twitter buddies. Then, again.. went back to staring at the screen. "Boring Sturday. Pfft!"

So. I decided to watch a movie. Ikr. No surprise. That's what I do during these kind of days. Sometimes, I'd go out and take my dogs for a walk.. but it was scorching HOT outside. If I go outside, I'd melt! Like ice cream!

Okay. I'm exaggerating.

I chose to watch the movie trilogy - The Lord of the Rings. I'm sure you all have heard of it. If you haven't, then you should go to a bookstore and buy the books, or to a movie shop and buy the DVDs. It's an adventure you shouldn't miss. "My precious...."

Frodo: I can't do this, Sam.
Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.”
- The Two Towers

Ahh. Great lines..

"One Ring To Rule Them All." That by a twist of fate, the ring found itself in the hands of the hobbit, Frodo Baggins, and then Middle Earth comes alive... One of the best movie trilogies ever. But it's only the fourth on my list. XD

My Top 10 movie trilogies..

  1. Star Wars (The Phantom Menace, Revenge of the Sith, Attack of the Clones)
  2. The Jason Bourne Trilogy (The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum)
  3. Shrek (Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek, the Third)
  4. The Lord of the Rings (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King)
  5. The Lion King (The Lion King, The Lion King: Simba's Pride, The Lion King 1½)
  6. Harry Potter (The Philosopher's Stone; The Chamber of Secrets; The Prisoner of Azkaban)
  7. Toy Story (Toy Story 1, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3)
  8. Ice Age (Ice Age, Ice Age: The Meltdown, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs)
  9. Star Wars (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi)
  10. Transformers (Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon)
And some more...

  • Pirates of the Caribbean (The Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest, At World's End)
  • The Chronicles of Narnia (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian , The Voyage of the Dawn Treader)
  • Mission: Impossible ( Mission: Impossible, Mission: Impossible II, Mission: Impossible III)
  • The Godfather (The Godfather I, The Godfather II, The Godfather III)
  • Terminator (The Terminator , Judgment Day , Rise of the Machines)

It'll be a very long list if I don't stop.. so I'm stopping here. And I'm sleepy. I'm going to bed. Later. zzzzzz...

  1. The Matrix has sequels? I'm pretty sure the Matrix never had sequels. Nope, it's only one awesome movie, nothing else worth viewing. No sequels to be found anywhere.

    ...I live in denial.

    1. They're one and the same. "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" is the first novel. The American edition of the book was published under the name "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", as suggested by the author J.K. Rowling. :)

  3. For a movie full of walking and one that's secretly a gay romance story those movies did have some really good lines, and some really good moments. The Star Wars movies are some of my favourites too. Matrix too of course.

    1. I remember someone telling me that there really is a secret gay romance in the movie.. between Sam and Frodo or Legolas and Aragorn. :p

Star Wars is epic. "May the force be with you.." :)

    2. Well there's Merry and Pippin, and Frodo and Sam were pretty gay. Legolas and Aragorn might count too.

  6. LOTR! I loved it, especially that it was shot in New Zealand!!! That's where I'll live happily ever after. LOL.

Great list you have Leah, good thing about your boredom is that you do something about it, instead of just sleeping around.

    Cheers!
