O is for OneRepublic.

OneRepublic.

"OneRepublic was nominated for a Grammy in 2008 for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. And Tedder, plus guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, bassist/cellist Brent Kutzle and drummer Eddie Fisher have sold almost 2 million albums and 8 million singles.
The band's 2007 hit "Apologize," from their album Dreaming Out Loud went to No. 1 in 16 countries, going gold in 14 of them. It broke records for airplay when it finally made it to radio (and was only bested by Lewis's "Bleeding Love," which Tedder co-wrote). Their second single, "Stop and Stare," propelled OneRepublic beyond platinum status. Waking Up is their second album on Mosley/Interscope Records.

Their latest single "All the Right Moves" comes with a huge heap of anticipation from the millions of fans of OneRepublic and Tedder. But there are countless others who may not know the band or its members' names but recognize their heartfelt songs from the soundtrack of their last bad breakup or emotional meltdown. OneRepublic is that band.

While breaking sales, the members OneRepublic have proved for years that hard work pays off. As sensational as their rocket trip up the charts may have seemed, nothing happened for them overnight." - Official Site

"Sometimes there's airplanes I can't jump out.. Sometimes there's bullshit that don't work now. We are God of stories, but please tell me, "What there is to complain about?" When you're happy like a fool, let it take you over. When everything is out you gotta take it in.."

This alternative rock band from Colorado is one of my band favorites. And this song, undoubtedly one of my favorites, as well. I don't see the need to explain why now, do I? (smiles)

  2. I don't think I had heard of them but the song was very pretty indeed :) and the lyrics you posted were very nice too. What's stopping a person from being happy but themselves? Well, I know that's usually what stops me being happy anyway.

    1. Yep. It's not all about the tune/melody.. but also the lyrics. I love it.. What is there to complain about, really? Life is good. We just gotta learn to appreciate them. We complain all the time, we miss its wonders..

    2. I think people are just content to complain about their lives. The more they blame someone or something else for being why their life sucks, the less they have to see that they have the power to change it, and often, they got themselves into the messes they're in.
