Hello again. ♥
I'm still here at my brother's house, playing with my nieces and taking care of our old gandma. And it is of the same reasons that I can't stay online long enough to have long chats with my Twitter/Facebook friends, and make bloghops and drop comments on my favorite blogs. My two nieces fight over who would sit on my lap, while I face the laptop, so it's better to NOT turn it on. LOL.. The only time I can go online is when both of them are asleep. ♥
Anyway, I watched some movies yesterday. First on the list was "Friends with Benefits". It was good. I like Mila's role there - very witty, funny and sexy. Next, I watched "Source Code". Okay, I've got admit I watched it twice before I began to understand the plot. Haha! Talk about slow. Oh well.. only human. The last movie I watched before dozing off last night was "He's Just Not That Into You". Great movie. Have any of you watched it? It's a romantic comedy set in Baltimore, and tells the story about reading/misreading and understanding human behavior, specifically in dating. Some of the lines in the movie just get stuck in my head. They seem a wee bit... chauvinistic, but they do make sense. I'm not sure if I agree with all of them, though.

Here's some of the lines..
Alex: And the rule is this: If a guy doesn't call you, he doesn't wanna call you.
Gigi: Always?
Alex: Yeah, always.
Alex: So trust me when I say if a guy is treating you like he doesn't give a shit... he genuinely doesn't give a shit. No exceptions.
Alex: If a guy gives you his phone number instead of taking yours, he's not interested. And also, if a guy wants to see you, believe me, he will see you.
Alex: Run.
Gigi: So, what, now I'm just supposed to run from every guy who doesn't like me?
Alex: Yeah.
Alex: Oh, the spark thing is bullshit. Guys invented the spark so they could not call and treat you kind of badly and keep you guessing. Then convince you that that anxiety and fear that just develops naturally, was actually just a spark. And you guys all buy it. You eat it up and you love it. You love it because you feed off that drama. You all love that drama. Because you all thrive on the drama.
Niel: I don't understand why people wanna get married.
Ben: They don't.
Niel: They don't?
Ben: No. No, no guy actually wants to get married. And if they do, all they're really thinking about? All the women they're gonna miss out on.
Ben: You're a dick if you date a girl for too long, and don't marry her. But you marry her, and then you're an asshole for marrying her before you're ready. Shit - I don't know.
Well, what do you think?
P.S.
To see the full script, click here.. or you could just watch the movie, or read the book. ☺ Have a great day! ♥
Crazz ko si Ginnifer Goodwin. :)
ReplyDeletedivorcing your wife because you found another woman and you "have never felt anything like it before"?...that's just a lame excuse..
ReplyDeletewhy marry someone if you're not even sure if he/she is really the one? gasto lamang nah ug pakasal ^_^
*an orange thought*
I like this one. "If a guy doesn't call you, he doesn't wanna call you."
ReplyDeleteSo true!
Shittiest love advice ever?
ReplyDeletedi ko gusto ung movie hehehe
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's a great dialog, I haven't seen any of those movies, I've seen a glimpse of Source Code though, yeah, it was... Like you said, asking for a rewatch. I'm not sure if I'm into romantic movies..
ReplyDeletei already saw he's just not that into you and friends with benefits but i have no plans of watching source code. :P
ReplyDeletehave you seen crazy stupid love? it's a story of interconnected lives too, kinda reminded me of he's just not that into you.
Hindi ko pa to napapanood...:)
ReplyDeletedaming sikat sa cast, nakakahilo yan.
@The Gasoline Dude™ Haha!! Ako din. She's so cute. Pinanood ko na din yung movie nya.. "Something Borrowed". She's adorable.
ReplyDelete@Orange Pulps ♥ Yeah. Lame.. Like, what.. naglalaro lang ba? Haay. kaya kelangan pagisipang mabuti.. bago gumawa ng isang life-changing decision, make sure na napagisipang mabuti. :D
ReplyDelete@aLgene Yeah, I kinda agree with that one. Guys usually make excuses, but the truth is.. he didn't call because he simply didn't want to.. But NOT ALL guys are like that. I think. Hahaha!! I dunno.. :D
ReplyDelete@Fang Hahaha!! I'd like to think so.. especially Ben's lines. it was full of crap! :p
ReplyDelete@Bino haha!! Di mo pala to gusto.. hehe. I like it. Magulo nga lang yung relationships nila.. pero ewan. :p
ReplyDelete@neatfit Oh, that's okay if you haven't seen it. :) Yeah, I'd have to watch Source Code twice. lol.. but it's a good movie. :D
ReplyDeleteAwww.. you're not? How come? Hmm.. I'd bet you're into action and horror flicks. :)
@apple Aw, you should. Source Code is a good, if not great, movie! :) Hmm, Crazy Stupid Love? I think I'd check that one out.. haven't seen it yet. thanks! :)
ReplyDelete@Akoni Yes, Akoni. All star cast yata to.. hehe.. daming mga stars andito sa movie na to.. :D
ReplyDelete"If a guy is treating you like he doesn't give a shit... he genuinely doesn't give a shit."
ReplyDeleteI know! Haha! Kaya my friends and I made this motto: "Wag umasa, nakamamatay / Wag umasa, may namatay na dito." :P
Aha that movie is funny but I didn't really like it overall. The advice was terrible and I didn't learn a thing!
ReplyDeleteHaven't watched these! I've got to go look for the DVDs. I'm a fan of any dating and romance movies!

Hey Leah!
ReplyDeleteI've seen Source Code too, but not the other two. They sound too chick flicky for my liking :P.
I actually can't wait to get married. But at the same time I'm scared as well.
:)
must say, out of those movie you mentioned..it's the "he's not just into you" that I find boring and all. haha!
ReplyDeletefriends with benefits is cute and Source Code! the best. hahaha!
Speaking of Mila, I love her eyes, but It's awkward to see justin dance in a movie...hehe. I haven't seen Source Code.
ReplyDeletehaven't watched Friends with Benefits yet, but for the first, i love Mila Kunis, especially in Black Swan. :) I love her eyes.
ReplyDeleteand the movie he's not just into you is really nice for girls who think falsely about men they date, i mean they're different in so many ways and like girls, men knows what men do. :)
may dvd ako nung friends with benefits at hes not just in to you kaso di ko pa napapanood. hahahahays.
ReplyDeleteHaven't watched any of those three yet, but they are on queue in uTorrent. LOL
ReplyDeleteTalk about laptop wars here, I got the same problem.
I haven’t watched Source Code but I’d like to check, see how many time I need to watch it before it sinks in. Also to find out if I am slower than you are. Haha.. I watched “He’s not that into you” ages ago and I believe that the movie made sense. Sometimes girls over analyze everything when it comes to understanding guys. Haha.. love this post. Sorry wasn’t able to read it right way my internet connection, well, only works when it feels like it.
ReplyDeleteI have watched that too.. I likat part of ben and Jen.. Kasi he was hesitant to marry her at first, she accepted him though, and he marries her eventually.. naiyak ako dun.....
ReplyDelete@Katherine It makes sense, diba? hehe.. :D
ReplyDelete@Caroline hahaha!! Maybe because some of the lines to be a bit chauvinistic..? Especially Ben's character. He's a pig. lol
@Ronadelle Oh, you've got to watch "Friends With Benefits" then.. hehe.. It's funny and sexy. "He's Just Not That Into You" is a bit.. slow.. boring, to some. But I think it's a great movie, since there are lots of dating advice there.. though some are a bit OFF. :P My opinion.. And you should totally watch "Source Code", too. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, my two nieces are adorable.. :D
@Nas Haha! Well.. hmm. I think you'll like "Friends With Benefits".. though there are some scenes where Justin T is dancing.. OMG. I was like.. "My eyes! My eyes!!" Lol, kidding. You don't have to watch these movies if you don't feel like it.. :D
ReplyDeleteAww.. me too! Excited and scared, too! I am actually ready to get married. I've got to find my prince charming first.. :P
@Mai Yang Hehe. There are lots of boring scenes, yes.. but Alex and Gigi's scenes aren't boring at all. Maybe I'm just being biased.. lol. I love Ginnifer Goodwin. :D
ReplyDelete@PinoyMetroGeek So true. I love her eyes. She's great in Black Swan, but I think she did pretty good in "Friends With Benefits".. And I love her voice.. husky, sexy. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you should watch Source Code.. :D
@Hazel Hahaha! He is, actually. lol.. He lives in fear and is afraid of getting too close to women.. but well, he's got the balls to face Gigi at the end of the movie.. so I guess, 1 point for Alex? lol :P
ReplyDelete@Ayel Oh so true. Men knows what men do. I love that line.. thanks! :D
ReplyDeleteMila's eyes are beautiful. So beautiful. I wish I have eyes like hers.. :P
@khantotantra Hahaha!! Panoorin mo na kasi.. hehe..
ReplyDelete@Josh Hehe. Better watch out for the internet police. LOL..
Oh laptop wars. Hehe.. Glad to know I'm not alone. :p
@mayen Hehe.. Yes, ms Mayen. Watched it twice before I said.. "Ah, okay.. so that's what happened..". LOL.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the movie's sensible I believe.. Lots of crappy lines, yes, but lots of useful tips, too. lol..
@Zen Aww.. that was one of the most beautiful scenes in the movie.. when Niel proposed. Aww, he's adorable.
